Butterfly Park

We had a wonderful time during our trip to the Butterfly Park! The children were amazed to discover that there were so many different creatures there - not just butterflies!!

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to get up close to a number of insects and animals. They even got to touch and hold some of them if they wanted to!

The leaf insect was amazing at camouflaging!!
We had some super risk takers keen to touch and hold the rhinoceros beetle!!

Jimmy the Parrot was a favourite with the children!

We also thought the iguana was pretty cool!

We were very excited about seeing the butterflies! We learnt all about the life cycle of a butterfly and even got to bring a chrysalis back to our classroom!!

 "It's so tickly!!!"

Some of our risk takers holding a stick insect!

A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers! We hope that you had fun too!!

Keep checking our blog for an update on the chrysalis that we brought back to school with us...
